Paul Silk, Chair of the Commission on Devolution in Wales has urged the people of Mid and North Wales to come along and have their say on tax powers for Wales when the Commission visits locations throughout the area next week.
The Commission is holding a series of events between 27 and 30 March to find out the public’s views on whether the Welsh Government should have tax varying and borrowing powers.
Further details on the Commission’s events can be found at http://commissionondevolutioninwales.independent.gov.uk/events. Further events are planned for South and West Wales in April and May.
Paul Silk, Chair said: “We held our first meeting in Swansea last week and are now visiting locations across Mid and North Wales. As a Commission, we felt that it was important that members of the public are given the opportunity to let us know their views, whatever they may be, on this important issue.
“We all pay taxes so what we come up with will impact communities across Wales. That is why the Commission would encourage as many people as possible to attend and find out more about our work and take part in a lively debate. Our message is simple, come along and have your say.”
